Description:-

Our avid cyclist Mahesh started the 6000 km solo cycling expedition “Pedal for Clean India” with a pious objective to conquer the golden quad of India to spread awareness about clean India, Green India & Unite India. We were going fantastic as per plan and schedule. But, Due to the emerging conditions related to Covid and daily changes in the Government policies towards eradicating the spread of this virus, we have to take this tough decision regarding this expedition now.

We after conscious discussion with District Governor Rtn. Suresh Bhasin (Distt 3011), Assistant Governor Rtn. Ravi Gupta (zone 16), Sh. OM Prakash (Mahesh’ Father) analyzed the situation and decided to call off this initiative for the safety of Mahesh.

The decision was hard to take but the safety of the cyclist is prime concern of Rotary. Mahesh is now back to his home. 

We along with our DG Rtn. Suresh Bhasin Distt 3011, AG Rtn. Ravi Gupta, President Rtn. Munish Khullar (President RC Gurgaon South City) Club Secretary Rtn. JP Chauhan (RC Rewari Main) would like to thank you all each and everyone for showing your interest and giving 100 percent open hearted support to this event.

This project is wonderful example to how Rotary connects the world. We got really very good friends during this expedition. Stay safe and spread positivity in your nears and dears.

Rewari to Mumbai – Completed 

Mumbai to Chennai – Half Completed 

Chennai to Kolkata – Cancelled due to Covid 19

Kolkata to Rewari – Cancelled due to Covid 19

Total 2100 km successfully traveled on cycle by avid cyclist Rtn. Mahesh Kumar.

42 Rotary clubs of 17 Rotary Districts of India (Out of 38 Districts) got already associated.

Approx. 50+ clubs from another 7 Rotary Districts were planned to be associated in Phase 3 & Phase 4. 

One of the biggest multi club, multi zonal, multi district 6000 km solo cycling expedition by any club of India done by Rotary Club of Rewari Main Distt 3011.
