Dear Friends,
It is with immense pride and deep humility that I accept the esteemed role of President of the Rotary Club of Rewari Main for the year 2025–26. Our club, founded on February 18, 1976, has a rich legacy spanning 48 years, beginning with just 16 charter members united by a shared commitment to serve humanity. Today, we continue that noble journey under the banner of Rotary International—a 116-year-old global organization and one of the world’s most respected NGOs—providing a platform for individuals to contribute meaningfully to society as social change-makers.
As a Rotarian, I am often asked: What is Rotary?
Rotary is a global network of over 1.3 million members across 200 countries, encompassing more than 40,000 clubs. It brings together people from diverse cultures and backgrounds to exchange ideas, foster friendships, build professional connections, and most importantly, make a lasting impact—locally and globally.
Standing before you today as President fills me with both excitement and gratitude. The opportunities before us are vast, and I am honored to lead our club in advancing Rotary’s mission. Our members are dedicated volunteers working tirelessly to combat hunger, improve health and sanitation, support education and vocational training, promote peace, and eradicate polio—all under the guiding principle of “Service Above Self.”
Rotary’s reach is truly global, and its influence is profound. From blood banks to food drives, school sanitation projects to international peace initiatives, Rotary’s name is synonymous with service. Our club, Rotary Club of Rewari Main, is proud to be part of this legacy, and we remain committed to projects that are “Beneficial to All Concerned,” as outlined in the Rotary Four-Way Test.
We are fortunate to have a dynamic and passionate Board of Directors, united by a strong resolve to uphold Rotary’s seven areas of focus:
Peace and conflict prevention/resolution
Disease prevention and treatment
Water and sanitation
Maternal and child health
Basic education and literacy
Economic and community development
Environmental conservation
In today’s interconnected world, networking and social media play a vital role in amplifying our impact. Through Rotary’s vibrant community, we harness these tools to share ideas, build lifelong friendships, and collaborate with like-minded individuals. By engaging with resources at the club, district, and international levels, we can make our Rotary journey both meaningful and enjoyable.
Finally, I extend my heartfelt gratitude to all our longstanding members and warmly welcome those who have recently joined us. Let us come together as changemakers and Unite for Good.
Warm regards,
Rtn. Neha Sharma
President, Rotary Club of Rewari Main (2025–26)
